Emergency procedures

nFire:
1. Call ‘Fire!’
      If people around: -> 2    
      If no one around: activate alarm, then -> 2
2. 1 attempt to exstinguish the fire (time!)
3. Call 997
4. If successful: wait for rescue team
     If not successfull: 
           - activate alarm
               - go to ‘verzamelpunt’

Evacuations
nContinuous siren (+/- 5 min)
>< test or automatic detection of fume,…= short pulse  (3 seconds) 
 -> meant to activate EIP (first intervention team = Hugo + Johan M.)
 -> they have 3 minutes to decide 
       ‘accept’ (-> continuous siren -> general evacuation) or 
       ‘decline’ (-> silence)

nSwitch off electric equipment
n(PC, printer can remain switched on)
nLeave lights on
nBring experiments in a ‘safe’ mode
nClose windows and doors
nLeave the building (take jacket, wallet, bag,…)
nDo not use the elevator!
nGo to reunion point (in front of main entrance of the building) and await further instructions
